In a change from previous years, the Academy will be running a greater number of specialist skill-set training sessions ie: batting sessions, bowling sessions and wicket-keeping sessions. Some of the squad members will be full-time squad members (and will attend all sessions) and some will be part-time squad members (attending only their specific skill-set sessions).

The following players have been offered the opportunity to be a member of the 2009-2010 Senior Academy Winter Training Squad:
